Vanipedia
Vanipedia is an encyclopaedic platform on the web, with the aim to present this full inheritance of spiritual teachings by Srila Prabhupada to a worldwide audience.
Vanipedia is depicted as a lotus flower having six petals. The foundational petal is Vanisource, containing the books, lectures, conversations and letters in text form. The aim of the other petals is to provide dynamic entrances into this source of knowledge, by means of collections of quotes, media fragments, introductory articles and online courses etc. that all find their substance from the original source. Each entrance creating a voyage into the heart of spiritual wisdom. A voyage that can give an unparalleled experience of meeting Srila Prabhupada through his words, thoughts and teachings.
The Vanisource petal is already finished. Vaniquotes (presenting collections of quotes transversing the source) was the second petal to be opened and is now in full growth with more then 13,000 categories, 63,000 pages and 1,300,000 quotes. Introductory articles are being prepared and the Vanimedia petal (with audio, photographs and video) will soon start to be opened for creating content.
The other petals (see
www.vanipedia.org for a description) will follow later on.
Aim and purpose of Vaniseva
The creation of Vanipedia is a collaborative process. The work is done by a large number of devotees (vaniservants), who in situated in different places and in their spare time are doing service for building the Vanipedia.
The aim and purpose of the Vaniseva Service Network is to get the lotus flower of Vanipedia into full bloom, with all the petals opened for exploration and completely filled with content.
Srila Prabhupada
The Vaniseva Service Network
This service network is the home of the Vaniservants. It is the place where the community of devotees who are building Vanipedia can associate with each other to gain inspiration and expertise, and where new people can get information on how they can also perform Vaniseva. The place where people can find tutoring materials, find tutors, and can take up tasks.
Where can I perform Vaniseva?
Because this is an on-line community project, you can perform Vaniseva from anywhere in the world. We need the assistance of devotees with many different skills, so if you have some abilities, some free time and most importantly faith in and dedication to the teachings of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada then it is quite possible that there is some Vaniseva for you to perform.
